Reveal Fresh, Healthy Skin that Radiates

Over the years your skin can really take a beating—and your face bears the brunt of it. Sun damage, pollutants, makeup, acne, and other harmful factors can have a negative impact on the health and appearance of your face. That can leave you feeling self-conscious and embarrassed by your skin.

Chemical peels at Zuliani Facial Aesthetics are a great non-invasive way to dramatically improve your appearance. Treatments deeply exfoliate the skin to give you the results you desire. Chemical peel sessions are a highly personalized procedure, so all of Dr. Zuliani’s patients–even those with sensitive skin–can enjoy the benefits of rejuvenated skin.

Who might benefit from a Chemical Peel treatment?

Dr. Zuliani recommends a chemical peel for women and men of all skin types. An individualized treatment can address a variety of common skin problems, including:

  • Dull complexion
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Uneven skin tone and texture
  • Dark spots and discolorations
  • Enlarged pores
  • Rough, dry skin

Your chemical peel treatment at Zuliani Facial Aesthetics will be tailored to your specific skin type, concerns, and goals.

Replenix® MD Perfect 10 Peels

With a chemical peel using Replenix, your skin will be noticeably smoother and softer with a more even tone. The peel comes in three strengths—Universal, Intermediate, and Advanced—and supplies a synergistic blend of potent ingredients that visibly reduce the signs of aging after just one peel session.

  • Universal Perfect 10 Peel is formulated for all skin types including Fitzpatrick IV, V, and VI. Ideal for patients with sensitive, normal, and tolerant skin. Medical-grade, in-office treatments deliver the results you want from a peel.
  • Intermediate Perfect 10 Peel is for first-time peel patients and is a step up from Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, or similar peels. The Intermediate peel is formulated for Fitzpatrick skin types I-II-III and is recommended for sensitive, normal, and tolerant skin patients.
  • Advanced Perfect 10 Peel is formulated for patients with tolerant skin with Fitzpatrick I-II-III skin types. It’s a perfect choice for more experienced patients who have already been treated with the Intermediate Peel.

VI Peels

  • VI Peel Purify for acne-prone skin. Acne affects more Americans than any other skin problem. Many factors, such as clogged pores, bacteria, and oily skin, can cause acne and lead to unattractive breakouts. VI Purify is specifically formulated to combat these issues for those people with skin that’s susceptible to acne. It accomplishes this by clearing out dead cells to open up pores, killing the p. (propionibacterium) acnes bacteria, and soothing inflammation and redness.
  • VI Peel with Precision Plus. Hyperpigmentation of the skin can be an embarrassing condition. Although usually harmless, dark patches of skin can be unsightly and difficult to treat effectively. The VI Peel Precision Plus is specifically formulated to help restore the skin tone you deserve by reducing the appearance of age spots, smoothing away rough skin texture, and brightening even the most stubborn areas of discoloration.

How is a Chemical Peel treatment performed?

Chemical peels at Zuliani Facial Aesthetics are simple procedures performed in our Bloomfield Hills office. Treatments are usually pain-free, however, patients with highly sensitive skin may experience a slight stinging sensation during their session. The process usually takes about 20-30 minutes and minimal downtime is required. A solution is applied to the skin, which forces the damaged outer layers to peel off. The newly revealed skin is smoother with fewer wrinkles and a more even tone and texture.

What can be expected after a Chemical Peel treatment?

After your chemical peel treatment, you may feel like you have a mild sunburn. Some redness and swelling may occur while the outer layers of your skin peel away over the next 5-7 days. Dr. Zuliani may recommend the use of a daily sunscreen to protect your freshly uncovered skin. You will be able to get back to your pre-peel routine once your skin has returned to normal.
