Unlike a traditional facelift, the mini facelift features a less extensive approach. This means a much shorter scar and quicker recovery. While the results won’t be quite as dramatic as a full facelift, a mini facelift is a great option for younger women and men experiencing early signs of aging such as wrinkles or skin laxity around their cheeks or jawline.

long-lasting results that are noticeable, yet modest and very natural. Many of Dr. Zuliani’s mini facelift patients are regulars when it comes to non-surgical treatments and wanted to take the next step in their fight against aging.

A mini facelift offers several benefits, including:

How is a mini facelift performed?

The goal of the mini facelift is to reduce sagging and smooth wrinkles in the lower third region of the face. Dr. Zuliani will perform this facial surgery at an accredited hospital or surgery center conveniently located near Zuliani Facial Aesthetics in Bloomfield Hills.

Your mini facelift will be performed under local or general anesthesia depending on your own unique circumstances and what is discussed with Dr. Zuliani during your private consultation. Mini facelift surgery with Dr. Zuliani involves the removal of excess skin, as well as lifting the SMAS (superficial muscular aponeurotic system) and fat tissues to enhance your facial contours. Your specific surgery plan will be customized for your individual case and goal outcome.

A mini facelift with Dr. Zuliani typically takes about three hours to complete. Following your surgery, you will be able to return home under the care of a loved one. Dr. Zuliani will provide you with specific post care instructions and will be able to answer any questions you may have at this time.

What can be expected after a mini facelift?

The mini facelift is an outpatient procedure, meaning you will be able to return home that same day. You will need a loved one to drive you home and look after you on the day of your surgery. Dr. Zuliani may provide you with a compression garment to wear home and assist with the healing process.

Dr. Zuliani will have you come in for a follow-up consultation about a day after your surgery. After a week, he will remove your sutures.

You may feel well enough to return to work as soon as one week. Side effects such as bruising, swelling, and some discomfort are to be expected during the initial weeks of healing. Each patient will experience a different recovery period, and Dr. Zuliani will be able to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

The final results of your mini facelift can be seen within the first year of your surgery. Given the nature of this procedure, you will be able to enjoy very long-lasting benefits.
