Dr. Zuliani recommends facial implants to help create a more harmonious and well-balanced appearance of the face. Prior to your surgery, you will have a consultation with Dr. Zuliani to discuss your goals and expectations. He will look carefully at your current appearance and study photos of your face to determine the best approach for your facial implants. The implant will be specifically crafted based on your unique case and will be designed to complement your unique face shape and features. Dr. Zuliani uses medical grade silicone implants for the cheeks and chin. In some cases, he may also recommend a facial fat transfer (or fat grafting) procedure.

How are facial implants placed?
Dr. Zuliani will perform your cheek or chin implant surgery under general or local anesthesia with a mild anesthetic.
Your cheek implants will be placed through a cosmetically hidden incision placed within your upper lip. Chin implants are inserted through an incision made underneath your chin.
Once the implant is placed by Dr. Zuliani, it will quickly adapt to its new location and appear as natural as your own chin and cheekbones.
Your facial implant procedure will be performed by Dr. Zuliani onsite at Zuliani Facial Aesthetics in Bloomfield Hills, or at a nearby accredited hospital or surgery center.
What can be expected after facial implant surgery?
Recovery following facial implant surgery will vary from patient to patient. Dr. Zuliani will provide you with details and post-surgical guidelines to help with your healing. Any bruising and swelling will gradually fade within the first week or two after surgery.
You will notice an immediate difference in your facial appearance as soon as you look in the mirror. Cheek implants will help create a well-contoured and accentuated appearance of the cheek- bones. Chin implants will create a more pronounced, better-proportioned chin. The results of your facial implant procedure are designed to be permanent for the life of the implant.
