How is a MicroLaserPeel™ treatment performed?
MicroLaserPeel™ treatments are performed in our comfortable Zuliani Facial Aesthetics office in Bloomfield Hills. Your skin will be cleansed, and protective shields will be placed over your eyes.
Once ready, the handpiece is then positioned above the targeted area as the computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam over the skin. The procedure usually only lasts about 10-15 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area. Since the laser only penetrates the top layers of the skin, treatments are typically well-tolerated with our air chiller.
What can be expected after a MicroLaserPeel™ treatment?
After your MicroLaserPeel™ session, you may experience some redness and mild inflammation, similar to a sunburn. These side effects typically subside as the exfoliated skin starts to peel away. Most patients begin to see an improvement in tone, texture, and evenness once the skin heals in approximately 2-3 days.
You may feel comfortable applying makeup and returning to your regular daily routine at that time. Dark spots will lighten, and your skin will have a healthy glow as you notice the final results of the MicroLaserPeel™ treatment. Many patients choose to repeat the MicroLaserPeel™ on a regular basis to maintain luminous skin.
