Facial liposuction is a procedure performed to reduce stubborn facial fat for men and women who are at or close to their ideal weight. This is not a weight loss procedure and should not be used as an alternative to diet and exercise. Dr. Zuliani can use this procedure to help reduce resistant areas of fat in the cheeks, neck, chin/jawline (double chin), and general areas of the face.

How is facial liposuction performed?
Dr. Zuliani performs this fat reduction procedure under local anesthesia (although general anesthesia may be used in some cases). A small incision is made near the target area where excess fat is to be removed. A small cannula (thin tube) is then inserted through the incision and into the underlying layer of fat.
Connected to a surgical pump, Dr. Zuliani then uses the cannula to break up and remove the problem fat cells from the face, leaving behind a slimmer, well-contoured appearance.
Your facial liposuction procedure will be performed by Dr. Zuliani onsite at Zuliani Facial Aesthetics in Bloomfield Hills or at a nearby accredited hospital or surgery center.
What can be expected after facial liposuction?
The results of your facial liposuction with Dr. Zuliani will be immediately noticeable. You will realize a slimming of the treated area, although there may be some minor swelling or redness during the initial days of healing. Depending on the extent of your facial liposuction procedure, you should feel well enough to return to work within one week following your surgery. This recovery time will allow swelling and bruising to subside.
